Detailed Design and Construction Supervision of the North-South Railway Link - Telecommunications Component

The North – South Railway Project (NSR) comprises the construction of a mainly single track railway, which will carry mineral traffic from mines at Hazm Al Jalamid and Az Zabirah to processing facilities in Ras Az Zawr. There will also be a passenger and general freight line from Riyadh to Al Haditha together with depots, ancillary buildings, operational and corporate headquarters and other railway facilities. The total length of the line is approximately 2,400 km. CANARAIL is participating in the establishment of the detailed design of telecommunication systems. After carrying out a needs analysis, the team identified the most appropriate solutions to fulfill the needs of the NSR Project. Technical specifications along with conceptual design and typical installation drawings were developed as well as complete tender documents. Systems involved are: CCTV for sites monitoring, master clock for systems synchronization, ticketing systems, public information system for information and advertisement, passenger announcement system for vocal messages and voice recorder for voice conversations recordings.
